Photoshoot with Kylie :)

I had an exceptionally uneventful day today. I woke up, started writing a blog entry for 'Word' (my book blog), and spent the rest of the day playing the guitar, watching TV, and reading. I had almost forgotten about the roll of film that had been processed and was ready to be picked up, when my dad came in and offered to drive me to Walgreens. I love my dad. :)

So. The other day Kylie, Jenna, Leah and I went out to the traintracks to take pictures. Sadly 2/3 rolls of film I used didn't get exposed at all, so I only got the roll where I took a million pictures of Kylie. It's okay, though. She's beautiful. Plus she helped me get a couple concepts checked off the list, so life is good. Here they are!

"I'm just a penny on the train track, waiting for my judgement day..."

"There's nothing like finding gold inside the rocks hard and cold
I'm so surprised to find more, always surprised to find more."

"Time is all around, except inside my clock."

"Give my body back to the earth and not complain..."

And these last two I just thought were adorable of her. :)

And I really liked the lighting in this one. Click on it to see better. :)

I won't put the rest up, but I call this a successful roll of film. :) I'm not gonna lie, I'm loving using my film camera. I kind of like the grainy-ness of it. That's just me, though.

The songs in this blog entry (which are now added to the blog playlist) are:

Penny on the Train Track by Ben Kweller
Kick Drum Heart by The Avett Brothers
Time is All Around by Regina Spektor
The Perfect Space by The Avett Brothers

That's it for now, I think. I'm gonna go watch some Bones. It's the one where Hodgins takes Angela out for their first date. *swoon*. I love Hodgins...hehe. Farewell! :)

Chairs

I have many, many ideas for pictures, you guys. Like, tons. Sadly, I am but one person and many of my concepts require...people. Therefore, often I am left with nothing of which to take pictures! I've been around my apartment complex a million times and there really isn't much interesting there, and I don't want to waste film on crappy pictures, so what do I do? How do I satisfy my urge to take pictures?

The answer is located on photochallenge.org, my friends. On this website I can find photo prompts. There's a general theme, and then you just go nuts from there! Be as creative as you want. Just tie it back to the word they've told you to take pictures of. Started from the top and the first word was: Chair.

I took all these a while ago (I'm still working my way up to current pictures). I wanted to be as creative as possible, I didn't just want a million pictures of straight up chairs (although...there are probably some cool chairs out there. Maybe I'll revisit it later), so this is what I came up with -- enjoy!

Overwhelmed

THANKSGIVING BREAK. FINALLY. I anticipate spending my entire week laying around, watching Bones or the X-Files and eating lots and lots of food. I love breaks from school. I'm just anticipating Christmas break now, when my sister comes home from China! I love the holiday season. :)

Well, as for the pictures today, these are also pretty old, but I like them, so I figured I'd show them off a little more.

I had the concept when I was really stressed out at school -- the desk is an overwhelmed mind, chalk full of useless information. On the desk is an open notebook, signifying the current frame of thought, but which will inevitably be just another crumpled up piece of paper in the drawer.

Whaddya think?

Oldies, but Goodies. :)

Well, I figured I had to start out somewhere. I took these a while ago. They have no real theme or anything...just stuff I took on days where I was bored. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or just want to say hi, feel free. :)

In the Aeroplane Over the Sea

We Came for Salvation
Espresso.
Paradise :)
Well, that's all for this entry. Hope you like 'em. :)

Any songs referenced in pictures, I'll put on the blog playlist. Starting out, looks like I'll be adding In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel, Salvation Song by The Avett Brothers, and Awake My Soul by Mumford and Sons.

Sadly, Awake My Soul wasn't on the website I use to make my playlists, so here's a link to the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHWsKTSdS74.
